Former Leicester City forward scores on his debut

Former Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa scored on his debut for new club Al Nassr in their 2-1 victory over Al Jazira in an Arab Champions League encounter played on Monday, August 13.

The Super Eagles Musa recently completed a permanent switch from Premier League outfit Leicester City to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.
Al Nassr was drawn in against Al Jazira of UAE in the round of 16 of the Arab Champions League.

Musa finally joined up with his new teammates on Friday, August 10 and fortunately scored the match-winning goal for Al Nassr.

The Saudi Arabian outfit took the lead of the encounter when they went ahead in the 15 minute through Yahia Alshehri’s goal.

Al Jazira, however, equaled the game before halftime through a neat goal by Mohamed Jamal.

Musa who was among the benched players for the game was called upon when he came in for Moroccan Noureddine Amrabat at the beginning of the second half.

In the 15 minutes to the end, Musa scored what turned out to be the winner to the delight of the Al Nassr supporters.

He took to his official Instagram account to express his delight about his winning goal with a message which said, “I couldn’t have dreamed to get off to such a great start. My first goal! Thank you all for the motivation.”

Musa is not an alien to scoring on his debut as he did so when he was loaned out to CSKA Moscow and also at Leicester City.
